Our co-workers and friends at the Daycare gave us a ¨Going Away¨party on September 30th. They hosted the party at our house, with lots of food and fun. The pool was full most of the evening, and backyard was packed with people and food. It was a blessing to be blessed by them.

We spent the weekend at Samaipata, a small village just two hours outside of Santa Cruz.

However as you can see the area is just a bit more mountainous the flat Santa Cruz.

A huge parade that seemed to come out of nowhere, all performed in traditional Bolivian clothing from all over Bolivia.

The SASS group is the Bolivian equivilent to the YES program. In the following pictures we are playing a game in which our team played the part of anything out of the normal comfort zone. They start in there comfort zone where everything is normal and known. Next they have to go to church where they recieve the call to be a missionary. Next there was language school followed by their trip and then ariving in a new and courious world where things are strange and people speak a different tounge. It was very fun. We were introduced to SASS by the Kehler family, a Canadian missionary family that, God would have it, live across the street from us. We are possing with their children in one of the pictures below.

This house is more then we ever asked for but believe it or not it was to only house up for rent right near the daycare. God really worked things out though, the landlord made us a deal that was lower then any of the other houses we looked at that were farther away. So we are blessed.

Saludos desde Santa Cruz, Bolivia! We as the YES team are doing well. We apologize for not being able to post anything on our blog since we have been here. We have not had the opportunity until now to use a computer to post our pictures. Thanks to our wonderful neighbors across the street, The Kehler family, they are allowing us to use their computer and DSL to update our blog.

We all feel that we are pretty well adjusted to life here. We are working at the Guardaria (Daycare) Mosies, part of the Hogar de Ninos Stansberry. We all have a class that we are part of and we work at Monday thru Friday, anywhere from 7-4, or to 8:30 -5:30. We come home from work very tired after working in the daycare all day, with sometimes more than twenty kids in class each day, its takes everything out of us. But we love it.

We have enjoyed having a house of our own. The team is almost all together, which makes us use our heads and be creative to find things to do, usually we are cleaning or playing cards.

Bolivia Here we Come!

Tonight is our last night at the HDC. It's hard to believe that this time has come so soon, but we are READY! This weekend we spent time in Reading City, for our Contextualized Training. We ate lots of Latino food & Mama G food (so good), went to a spanish/english church, worked in the public school with ESL department (English as a Second Language), watched some movies and the basketball game, and spent time together praying for our outreach...it was good. But here we sit, getting antsy and ready to began our new journey....together! Tomorrow morning we leave for the airport at 9:30, and our traveling will not end until about 8:30 the next morning. Please keep us in your prayers, we would grately appreciate it. We will send more information as soon as we get ourselves adjusted. We love you all.
